Dedicated to Dr. W.W. Scott, our IV Therapy Center offers our patients a comfortable place close to home for outpatient IV usage.
FRMC Outpatient IV Center is dedicated to Dr. W.W. Scott, a local family practice physician, who lost his life to cancer. The IV Center is located near the lobby of the hospital and has several recliners and chairs to help our patients feel as comfortable as home. We see an average of 45 patients per month. Patient visits average 120 per month.
We service a large area, with patients from Pocahontas, Imboden, Warm Springs, Corning, Biggers/Reyno, Maynard and even Doniphan, MO. The IV Center is also helpful to cancer patients who go to Jonesboro or Little Rock for chemo, but come here for all the trips in between, such as lab tests, blood transfusions and cell building injections after chemo.
Five Rivers Medical Center’s Outpatient IV Center is also used for patients who need IV antibiotics or IV fluids to help them get over an illness. Instead of being in the hospital, this lets the patient be at home with loved ones and just make a few trips to the IV center.
